Coolermaster Hyper 212 Evo CPU Cooler Review

The Coolermaster Hyper 212 Evo CPU cooler supports Intel socket LGA 2011/1366/1155/1156/775 and AMD socket FM1/AM3/AM2 CPUs. Coolermaster's Hyper 212 Evo heatsink is made of Aluminum Fins with four copper heatpipes on its base. This has the effect of conducting heat to a larger area of the aluminum fins. The 120mm fan mounted on the heatsink has variable speed from 600 up to 2000 RPM, which produces decent airflow in ranges from 24.9 up to 82.9 CFM. The heatpipes are set directly in the path of the Coolermasters' fan. The noise of the Coolermaster's Hyper 212 Evo CPU cooler is really awesome and it varies from 9dBA at 600 RPMs up to 36dBA at its full speed of 2000 RMPs.

If you happen to have an energy efficient processor (85W or 65W TDP) you'll get the best of both worlds by running the Hyper 212 Evo at reduced fan speeds where operation is essentially silent. In any event, the Coolermaster Hyper 212 Evo is an economical and well performing tower heatsink. Source
